IT'S ALIVE!

I wanted to just send you a quick message that assembling my battery couldn't have been easier! Thank you for making a great product.

I almost screwed up (pun intended) but using too tall of a bolt when mounting the bracket to the bike. It prevented the battery from locking in place. I ended up using Disc Brake bolts instead to they were not touching the housing.

I bought my Infinite Battery back when it was an Indiegogo project to use on my Bike Friday tandem. I have been using it for about 6 months now and have been really impressed so far. It was easy to assemble and install and works well with our setup (Baserunner + All-Axle hub motor from Grin). We get a range of about 100km which exceeded my expectations for a tandem. It also supports regen (up to about 300 watts) which is great for long descents and saving brake pads.

We did have an issue early on with a faulty fuse on the pcb. But when I explained the issue to Alex he sent a replacement board at no cost to me, so it’s great to know they really stand behind the product.

The other reason I bought the battery was the possibility to travel with it by air. By disassembling the battery and placing the cells in safe storage boxes we are within IATA guidelines which most airlines follow. I am about to put this to the test with a round world travel plan this year, but my correspondence with the airlines indicate we should have no problem.

I was impressed by how sturdy the aluminum case is, and the mounting plates are also solid aluminium which was a welcome surprise. The only negative I can say is that I got a malfunctioning BMS that didn't read the voltages correctly. The team responded on short notice and we resolved the issue quickly, at no additional cost. The assembly process is relatively simple, you just need to be careful and not rush the process. The app works well, but it would be better if the BMS didn't refresh after every settings change (E.G. changing battery or controller type etc./, but it's nitpicking, after you set it once it remembers the choice. Also the connection to the home Wi-Fi was quick and firmware was updated. So far everything seems to be thought out very well, and the build quality and fit is quite tight. I havent yet ordered the electric motor so can't comment on the range or performance yet.

It took me a long time to „get there“ to have all things set for my Infinite Battery, as my time to fix it all is short these days.
As the parcel of the kit arrived at my home, I was so excited to fix it, that I accidentally ripped of the tiny plug of the WiFi antenna.
The gouach costumer team supported me amazingly, the new battery connector plate, which had to be replaced in the following was quickly shipped to my home. Here the modular quality of the product kicked in for me right from the start and worked well. Since then I managed to fix it all properly and am thankful for this product and tech upgrade that I was waiting so long for. Now ebiking enters a new level for me!
